Bartender / Server – Alejandro’s (Monterey)
Pay: $16.90 per hour (minimum wage) — plus tips and server tip-outs.
Schedule: Part-time position.
Shifts: Evening shifts only.
Alejandro’s is a modern Mexican restaurant and bar in Monterey, known for its signature cocktails, tequila and mezcal selection, and elevated dining experience.
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Bartender / Server to join our front-of-house team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent guest service, and supporting a fun, high-energy bar and dining environment.
You’ll report directly to the Alejandro’s Management Team and work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Schedule Requirements:
- Must be available to work 4 shifts per week.
- Schedule will include:
- 2 serving shifts.
- 2 bartending shifts.
- Friday and Saturday night availability is mandatory.
- Sunday availability is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.
- Follow drink recipes and maintain quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
- Verify guest IDs and follow alcohol service laws.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
- Support opening and closing side work.
- Uphold sanitation, safety, and health department standards.
Requirements:
- 3–4+ years of bartending experience and strong cocktail knowledge required
- Previous serving experience in a restaurant or bar environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, tequila, mezcal, beer, and wine.
- Professional, reliable, and guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification — or ability to obtain after hire.
- Food Handler Card — or ability to obtain after hire.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
