Bartender – Lalla Oceanside Seafood (Cannery Row)
Pay: $16.90 per hour (minimum wage) — plus tips and server tip-outs.
Schedule: Part-time position.
Shifts: Evening shifts only, 3–4 nights per week.
Lalla Oceanside Seafood is a contemporary seafood restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Cannery Row in Monterey. We pride ourselves on serving fresh, high-quality seafood, handcrafted cocktails, an exceptional wine selection, and delivering outstanding hospitality in a vibrant coastal setting.
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Bartender to join our front-of-house team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing exceptional guest service, and helping create a welcoming, high-energy bar environment.
You'll report directly to the Lalla Oceanside Management Team and work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and professional service.

Schedule Requirements:
- 3–4 nights per week.
- Friday and Saturday night availability is required.
- Sunday availability is strongly preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service.
- Follow drink recipes while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
- Verify guest identification and comply with all California alcohol service laws.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff.
- Complete opening and closing side work.
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and health department standards.
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of bartending experience required.
- Strong knowledge of craft cocktails, beer, wine, tequila, mezcal, and spirits.
- Professional, reliable, and guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, or ability to obtain after hire.
- Food Handler Card, or ability to obtain after hire.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
